Friday Sketchers

Thought I would pop over and see what their sketch was like today. I don't enter my cards for the challenge though but if you would like to have a go pop over to their blog here
The image was sent to me from my friend Tracy some time ago and although I coloured it in at the time I hadn't got round to making a card with it.

I made another patriotic father's day card last night, this time using an image that was on a set of stamps from Papermania and another random birthday card using up some odd bits of pp I had left over......better than putting them in the bin I say !

Back to some more crafting now. I still need to bag a couple of dozen cards up before tomorrow morning, ready for the school fayre in the afternoon. So it might be a better idea if I did those first I think !

I found these chipboard teachers bits and the tag while I was looking for something entirly different. Can't even remember when or where I got them from to be honest but might as well put them to good use, so another teacher thank you card.

A variety of Cards

A lot of Images !!!
I've got another Craft Fayre coming up on Saturday, this time at my grand-daughters school. Looking through the stock at the last fayre I noticed that I was getting a little low on Wedding/Anniversary cards, so here are a few I've been making this week.
Sorry for the bad photography, I just quickly picked up my point & shoot Fuji and it doesn't seem to be focusing properly. Must check out the settings as I lent it to my daughter a while back and it seemed fine when I gave it to her !!!

I lifted this one from one that was featured on Scrapbook Etc site recently, quite quirky I think !

This one was made using my new Martha Stewart wide Trellis Border Punch that my daughter brought back from the US for me last week. I can see me using this punch quite a lot, it's lovely !

The inspiration for this card came from one that Mystik Nat on UKS did a while ago. Here's a link to her blog, you'll have to scroll through a bit to find it but there's some fab cards along the way !

here

Made with a cuttlebug embossing folder and an x cut dimentional butterfly punch. Love the punch but it's got it's disadvantages, you can only use it one way as the butterfly is positioned sideways on it. I really wanted them to go along the bottom but they would be flying on their sides if I did that !!

That's it for today, hope you enjoy looking and thank you if you're inclined to leave a comment, I do appreciate them.

Another Week !

Oops I've been a naughty blogger, can't believe it's another week and I haven't updated the blog since last Tuesday.
The craft fayre went fairly well on Saturday, was quite pleased with what I sold but could have been better I suppose !. It was a bit too hot and most of the people were outside, although they would have been far more comfortable visiting the hall that we were in as it was nice and cool in there.
Yesterday I did the carboot sale with my daughter and she did very well indeed. She sold a lot of clothes and no end of outgrown toys that the girls have finished with. All in all she made £98 which was pretty good for 3½ hours selling. It was so so hot though and we had no shade so guess who got a bit burnt !!! It's not too bad though, I've just got two very red arms and shoulders !!!

Anyhow here's what I've been up to this last week, some cards for you and this morning I made a LO using papers from the April Sarah's Card Kit with some bits & bobs added from my own stash. May's kit is here already so I thought it was a good idea to start on the April one pretty quickly.

The LO is of Molly at Northampton Dance Festival last month where she won all three of the awards up for grabs in her age group, six & under. She now qualifies for the semi finals of the All England Festival of Dance.

Now I'm playing catch-up !

Yes that's right, I'm running out of time to make and have enough variety for the school fayre on Saturday ! I do this every year and every year I say I'm going to be a bit more organized the following year....oh well onwards & upwards as they say !
Here are a few that I've made over the last couple of days.

Fathers day ones to start with :

Some packs of thank you notes, sorry about the image I had already packaged them up !

The apple teacher "thank you" one next.I saw a similar one on someones blog/gallery sometime ago, I sketched it very roughly at the time and now I can't find it. So I had to make a lot of it from memory.I did however remember that there was a big apple that made up the background which I cut with the cricut. I roughly inked this with some chalk inks to get the appearance of a real apple and added a Magnolia image to it. I don't like the fact that they don't have mouths, so I add them in...oops I hope the designer of these stamps don't mind !!!

A couple of baby ones.

and finally a Sarah Kay image
