Still Scrapping !

Don't know what's come over me, I've done another couple of LO's yesterday. Mind you the ironing and housework are still on the back boiler.Really must do some today though !

First one is of Charlie on the slide at school on the afternoon of their summer fete.
I only had bits & pieces of this American Craft Travel paper left. As it's not really suitable for cards I needed to do something with it, it was a shame to throw it away. This LO isn't really my style at all, too graphic for me.Then, having stuck the papers down I found I didn't really have much in the form of embelishment for it. Ah well, tip for the future......collect all your stash first and then scrap.I think I'm getting used to the straight line the more I look at it though !

This one is of DD1 with her boys ( Jack & Charlie) photo was taken by Cheryl of Feelgood photos.com and was converted to black & white my myself in Photoshop Elements...the photo colours didn't really go with the paper. Papers are Pink Paislee Bayberry Cottage collection which came in the July Kit from Sarah's Cards ( link on the right sidebar)
That's it for today now to tackle the ironing and the dusting !!

Shameless Scraplift.

I saw this LO in Scrapbook Trends way back last year by Kristin Hayne and thought how lovely it was then. When I came across this photo of Molly taken some time ago now, I immediately thought of this LO...so here is mine:

This LO was made from the July kit from Sarah's Cards. The papers are by Pebbles called The Treehouse Collection. At first glance I groaned and said more female papers as there's a beautiful bold colour flower paper included in the kit. How wrong can you be and it will teach me not to be so hasty in my original thoughts and not be sidetracked looking at the flowers!
I'm really pleased with this LO and the way that the photo fits so well with the papers. Again it's not my photo but from the photoshoot we had with Cheryl last November.Jack & Charlie are so very close, especially now that Charlie is a bit older, even with the 3 years between them. I'm hoping that they will stay as close in the future as they are now.

It's pouring with rain !

Yes as the title of this post said, it's been pouring with rain here since mid morning so I thought I'd play with some glue & paper !

There's a sketch challenge over at Sarah's Cards blog here
so I thought I'd have a go.Pop over if you want to have a go but you'll have to be quick as the entries have to be in by Monday August 9th.
As I had a landscape photo I've turned the sketch round a half turn to the left.I've used some American Crafts paper from their Travel range, cut some borders with a Fiskars threading water punch and their bracket punch and used my bind it all to make the green border.A couple of journalling spots also by AC some black Kaiser pearls and American Craft vinyl thickers for the title. Just incase that anyone might think I'm a fantastic photographer the photo was taken last November by Cheryl of feelgoodphotos
If you click on the photo it will give you a larger view.
