1st School Sports Day

What a surprise ! I put together two LO's yesterday. I haven't actually scrapbooked for myself for weeks, months probably.Yesterday I grabbed some of this lovely paper by My Minds Eye Little Boy Blue from their Quite Contrary range that I bought a few weeks ago, sorted the photos out and off I went.Loved working with these double sided papers but I really am a fan of MME, just love their papers.
Had to make this a double LO as he ran two races and I wanted to document both of them especially as this was Charlie's first sports day since he started school.

A Slide for today

This is a wedding book that I've been doing off and on for a year, how bad is that ? It's been made for my daughters best friend and as my grand-daughter was her bridesmaid she's going to give it to her tomorrow on her anniversary.
The papers used are all from the Making Memories " I Do " collection. Sorry about the quality of the images but I was in rather a hurry this morning taking the photos as my daughter was on her way to collect it....nothing like leaving everything to the last moment is there? !!!

I was going to make a slide of the teachers book too but decided against it as that pet game is driving me nuts popping up on all the slides. I don't know how to get rid of the thing though.

Anyhow, this is one of the two teachers books I made last week. I seem to have missed taking the photo of a couple of pages though but mever mind you get the idea :) The book was made with the papers from the May kit from Sarah's Cards ( link on the right side )

It's been so long !

Oh dear I really have neglected this blog over the last few weeks. If it's not one thing it's another but hopefully I'm now seeing a light at the end of the tunnel :)

Craft Fayres have finished until Christmas so I can take a bit of a break from card making.
We had mother-in-laws 90th birthday celebrations last Saturday, although her birthday isn't until tomorrow, one of her daughters is off to Spain tonight for her hols. A great day was had by all and she's truly remarkable for someone of her age.
I thought with everything out of the way it would give me time to do some scrapping but Oh No ! DD2 dropped me into making a mini book, well two in fact, when asked by one of the teachers that had. in the past, received one of my Teachers Quote Books. The 1st one is for a Teacher that's retiring from my grand-daughters school at the end of term. Now that I've finished this one I can start on the other and finish that before the end of term too.

The book has 33 tags in it so that the staff can record their best wishes on her retirement. I used Basic Grey Max & Whiskers paper throughout, picked up some cat buttons ( she likes cats, that was the brief )and various ribbons & buttons from stash.
