Just a quick post today!

Yes, a quick post as I have to take my mother-in-law to her club in 30 minutes.

I'm still on this mission of using old paper up and I found quite a bit of this Christmas paper whilst sorting the Christmas box out.I've also used my cricut for the first time in ages to cut the flourishes out........I had to dust it off first though LOL. Another thing on my list.......must use it more!!!!

Anyhow back to the layout. I took this photo of Emily a couple of weeks before Christmas. She wanted to make her Mum and Dad a card so we decided it was a good idea to use a photo on the front. She didn't like the idea of this shaped photo ( insert eye roll here) typical of an 11 year old - don't like your ideas Nanny!!!!

Didn't want to waste the printed photo so here it is. Came a bit of a cropper with the title though. Having started to use some Dear Lizzy glitterd red alphas, stuck them down, then found out I didn't have any S's........bet everyone has done that at some time or another! Not to worry I used a couple of the 2's that looked similar after you turned them over. I've made a bit of a hash up of the glittering on the middle one though - not to worry it's not that bad LOL.

That's it for today, must be off now.

Thanks for calling by!

Need to use up some stash!

I'm off to Sarah's Cards retreat in 4 weeks which I'm really looking forward to, BUT and it's a big but! When I was looking through my papers when putting together the last couple of layouts with the 75 cents paper, I found quite a nice collection of papers that I bought at the retreat last year in addition to some that I even bought the year before that hadn't been touched!!!
Now that isn't on is it? How can I warrant buying some more at this year's retreat? I had to starts using some of them that's for sure as I can't miss my shopping time LOL

I've started with some My Minds Eye papers for this layout yesterday and had every intention of carrying on today until I had a little visitor this morning and she's staying until 2.30pm - there goes my plan!!!!!! She's having a nap at the moment so I thought I would post this in peace LOL!

I absolutely love this photo I took of Sophie a few months ago, she looks so angelic in it!

Thanks for stopping by and hopefully I'll have some more from my stack of old papers to show you quite soon!

New Kaisercraft 75 cents collection.

When I was at the crop last week Chrissy had the new 75 cents collection from Kaisercraft together with the February ideas booklet. There was one layout that immediately caught my eye so I had a little shop!!
I scaplifted this layout that was featured in the booklet by Joanne Bain. It's me and Jack( my grandson) taken on Grandparents day at his school last summer. We had a lovely day together, building little houses for their model village in the morning ( Geography lesson).Following break time we shared in their assembly. We then had a lovely lunch together and then spend the rest of the afternoon watching them play cricket.

I bought more than enough of the 75 cents ( because it's lovely paper) than was needed for the above LO so I went on and made a couple more. I've "pinched" a few ideas from some of the other LO's in the booklet and used them on both of the next pages so neither is an actual scaplift as such, but a mixture of ideas added to my own !

I did add a sheet of Prima paper to the background of this one but the rest of it is made up of the 75 cents collection

I would have got more done over the week-end except that I went " dancing"!!!! The girls were dancing at Welwyn Garden City Festival. Molly came 3rd in her Modern Solo and second with the Modern Group under 12. So she added another silver and bronze medal to her collection!! Emily also did well with her tap duet and her modern group, she wasn't placed, so no medal but still had a good mark and she enjoyed doing it which is the important thing in my opinion.

It's a lovely sunny day here but very cold wind.
Hope you're also enjoying the sunshine and thanks for popping by !
