Didn't realize that it had been such a long time since I uploaded anything to the blog.
Well, I went to Merly Impressions retreat over the week-end with Kirsty. As it was being held 10 miles up the road from here at Wyboston Lakes Hotel we didn't stay the night there. We both came home to sleep in our own little beds, nice and comfortable.....lovely!
We joined the other crafters for breakfast at 8am and left to come home about 11pm both nights( Friday and Saturday)We had a super weekend starting off at 5pm on Friday and we arrived home about 4pm this afternoon.
There were 5 project layouts with the option of making another from one of them, making a total of six in all. I managed to get all six finished and also made another 3 layouts from the extra stash I had taken with me for the "spare time".
First of all here are the 6 projects.
Project 1 using Kaisercraft Mister Fox and designed by Chrissy of Merly Impressions.
Project 2 using Kaisercraft Happy Snaps and this was designed by one of Merly Impressions design team,Ali Parris
Project 3 used Kaisrcraft Bluebell collection and this project was designed by Pam Thorburn who is also on the Merly design team.
There was also the option of making a totally different layout using the reverse of some of the papers used in the main project. This extra one was ideal, colour wise, for a halloween type theme.
Project 4 had a lot of cutting out for the flowers but well worth it for such a pretty layout and this used Kaisercraft Honey Chai and was designed by Chrissy.
and the final " official" project No 5 used Kaisercraft Kaleidescope. This was also designed by Chrissy.
and finally these are the three I did in my " spare" time.
As you can see I had a very productive week-end which was very enjoyable.I need to add some journalling to some of the layouts and after that the only thing left to do is to put away my stash, tools and all the other paraphernalia that one normally takes with them to a retreat!
Tomorrow I'm going to allow myself a few extra minutes in bed but I'll miss my ready to eat cooked breakfast!
Thanks for popping in.
